The 5th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Conference and Industry–Education Integration Summit Forum Concluded Successfully.

The 5th Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Conference, together with the Industry–Education Integration Summit Forum, was successfully held at the Hilton Guangzhou Huangpu. This landmark event drew more than 250 participants from over 80 institutions across Guangdong Province and neighboring regions. The forum brought together leading figures from industry, academia, and education to discuss the latest advancements in robotics and artificial intelligence technologies and their applications in fostering industry–education collaboration.

This forum was co-hosted by the Robotics Special Committee of the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce and the Guangdong Robotics Association, organized by Guangdong Chengfei Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., and supported by Guangzhou Institute of Science and Technology Trade and Guangdong Maoming Agricultural and Forestry Science and Technology Vocational College. It also received strong backing from the Guangdong Industry–Education Integration Promotion Association, the Guangdong Machinery Industry Association, the Guangdong Internet of Things Association, ABB China Co., Ltd., FANUC Robot (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., and other organizations. The participation of these entities not only enriched the forum’s content but also underscored the broad attention and high regard that various sectors of society accord to robotics and artificial intelligence technologies.
The forum’s theme, “Co‑building and Sharing, Collaborative Symbiosis,” focuses on a four‑chain integration model that brings together the education, industry, talent, and innovation chains in the fields of industrial and service robotics. This thematic framework aims to foster deep collaboration among stakeholders in robotics and artificial intelligence, thereby jointly advancing the healthy development of the industry.
At the forum, numerous distinguished guests delivered compelling presentations. Wan Junjie, Executive Secretary-General of the Guangdong Province Industry–Education Integration Promotion Association, offered in-depth reflections and insights on how industry–education integration can strengthen the talent‑development system. Professor Min Huaqing, Executive Director of the Expert Committee of the Guangdong Robotics Association and former Dean of the School of Software at South China University of Technology, provided a comprehensive analysis of current trends in the robotics sector and the evolving landscape of talent demand. Professor Jiang Xinge, President of Guangzhou College of Science and Technology, examined the establishment of industry‑university colleges from the perspective of industry–education integration. Meanwhile, Yang Chengfang, Vice President of the Guangdong Robotics Association and General Manager of Guangdong Chengfei Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., shared innovative models and practical experiences in leveraging industry–education integration to drive high‑quality talent development.

In addition, the forum hosted the launch ceremony of a talent supply-and-demand service platform for the robotics industry, which will provide more convenient and efficient services to match talent needs in the sector. Concurrently, the appointment ceremony for experts on the Education Special Committee of the Guangdong Robotics Association was also held at the forum, marking a solid step forward in the association’s efforts to advance robotics and artificial intelligence education.

Lin Liquan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Guangdong Maoming Vocational College of Agricultural and Forestry Science and Technology, shared insights into the model exploration and practical experiences of leveraging industry–education integration to advance the implementation of the Rural Revitalization “Hundred‑Thousand‑Ten‑Thousand” Project. Meanwhile, Professor Zhang Zhongzhou, a think‑tank expert at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, presented the approaches and outcomes of an integrated work‑study, industry‑academia‑integration talent‑development model. These presentations not only highlighted the innovative practices of various institutions in industry–education collaboration and talent cultivation but also offered valuable lessons and inspiration for attendees.

Finally, Ye Mingshan of Guangdong Xiechuang Educational Technology Co., Ltd. conducted an in-depth discussion on the current state of the service robotics industry and the development of a talent‑training framework, offering valuable insights and recommendations for the sector’s continued growth.
The successful convening of this forum has not only strengthened exchanges and cooperation among Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence, but has also charted a clear course for future industrial development and talent cultivation. We are confident that, with the concerted efforts of all stakeholders, the robotics and AI industries in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area will usher in an even brighter future.
