Warmly celebrate the successful conclusion of the 2024 Guangdong Province Electrical Industry Intelligent Hardware Assembly and Debugging Technician Vocational Skills Competition.

On December 13, the highly anticipated 2024 Guangdong Province Electrical Industry Smart Hardware Assembly and Debugging Technician Vocational Skills Competition was solemnly held at Guangdong Songshan Vocational and Technical College. This competition is hosted by the Guangdong Electrical Industry Association, organized by Guangdong Songshan Vocational and Technical College and Guangdong Chengfei Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., and co-organized by the Guangdong Machinery Industry Association, Guangzhou Institute of Science and Technology, Guangzhou Donghua Vocational College, Zhuhai Technician College, and Guangdong Maoming Agricultural and Forestry Science and Technology Vocational College. It has attracted 66 participating teams from higher vocational colleges and enterprises across the province, all vying for supremacy in professional skills.

At the opening ceremony, Huang Jianhua, Deputy Secretary-General of the Guangdong Electrical Industry Association, stated in his address that the province‑wide vocational skills competition for smart hardware assembly and debugging technicians is designed to create a platform for exchange among faculty and students, industry experts, and frontline workers, thereby motivating participants to strive for excellence and pursue continuous improvement. This initiative not only helps elevate the overall skill level of Guangdong’s electrical industry but also contributes to the province’s efforts to build itself into a powerhouse in education, technological innovation, and talent development, thus supporting high‑quality growth.

Zhang Linmao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee at Guangdong Songshan Vocational and Technical College, first expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the guests and judges for their strong support, and extended his sincere best wishes to all participating teachers and students. He emphasized that, as the only higher‑vocational institution in the Shaoguan region, the college remains committed to cultivating high‑quality, versatile technical and skilled professionals who integrate knowledge with practice, possess strong digital literacy, demonstrate robust practical abilities, and are equipped with an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset. The organization of this competition not only provides a platform for teachers and students to showcase their skills and enhance their personal development, but also represents a key initiative through which the college actively implements the Party Committee’s “1+1+5” strategic plan and promotes industry–education integration and deep collaboration between the university and enterprises.

Following oaths taken by the judges and the competitors’ representatives, the 2024 Guangdong Province Electrical Industry Smart Hardware Assembly and Debugging Technician Vocational Skills Competition officially commenced with the chief judge’s whistle. Over the course of the competition, participants in each category will vie fiercely in both theoretical exams and hands-on finals, showcasing their professional expertise and team‑working spirit.

After two days of intense competition, the closing ceremony was held on the evening of the 15th in the Academic Lecture Hall of Guangdong Songshan Vocational and Technical College. Attending the ceremony were Huang Jianhua, Deputy Secretary-General of the Guangdong Electrical Industry Association; Professor Song Jian, Head of the Expert Panel; Professor Song Xiaochun, Chief Judge; Yang Chengfang, General Manager of Guangdong Chengfei Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd.; Tian Yajuan, Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering at Guangdong Songshan Vocational and Technical College; Wang Yun from the Academic Affairs Department of Guangdong Songshan Vocational and Technical College; Feng Yaoqiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Electrical Engineering at Guangdong Songshan Vocational and Technical College; Zhang Jinggui, Vice Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering at Guangdong Songshan Vocational and Technical College; as well as other members of the judging and arbitration panels for this event, along with all participating contestants, team leaders, supervising teachers, corporate executives, and media representatives.

Subsequently, Professor Song Xiaochun, chief judge of the competition, announced the list of winners, recognizing the outstanding performers and teams.

The successful organization of this competition has not only provided a platform for skilled professionals in Guangdong’s electrical industry to showcase their expertise and enhance their capabilities, but has also offered strong support for advancing industry–education integration and deepening collaboration between schools and enterprises.
