Qingyuan Technician College [Dedicated Training Base for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Application Technology]

Qingyuan Technical College Since its establishment in 1995, the institution has received high-level attention from Party and state leaders as well as Party committees and governments at all levels, and has benefited from the cordial care of Party and state leaders, relevant ministries and commissions, and provincial and municipal officials. Today, the college covers a total area of 382 mu and employs 503 faculty and staff members. It comprises seven major departments—Automotive Engineering, CNC Moulding, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Ecological Industries, Finance and Commerce, Cultural Creativity, and Health Industry—and offers 25 permanent programs. The student body numbers approximately 12,000, with 90 percent hailing from Qingyuan itself. In recent years, the college has upheld the Party’s comprehensive leadership and adhered to the overarching principles guiding technical and vocational education: benchmarking against international standards, fostering industry–education integration, pursuing high‑end leadership, ensuring quality-driven operations, and promoting standardized development. Guided by the mission of serving regional development and oriented toward enhancing employment prospects, the institution has pursued a path of scientific, innovative, and distinctive growth. It places equal emphasis on cultivating both moral integrity and professional competence, strengthens collaboration between schools and enterprises, and strives to improve quality and excellence, thereby providing a robust pool of highly skilled talent to support Qingyuan’s vision of becoming a vanguard in the Greater Bay Area’s rise, a model city for urban–rural integration, a new benchmark for ecological development, an attractive “backyard” for the two economic zones, and a key contributor to the construction of these dual zones.

The practical training base for the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Application Technology program at Qingyuan Technician College is equipped with UAV assembly and debugging stations, a flight‑control hardware‑in‑the‑loop simulation platform, an intelligent application development platform, and an integrated assembly, maintenance, and repair platform. It also features indoor and outdoor flight‑testing networks and a video‑recording and broadcasting system. This project aligns with the 1+X certification framework for UAV pilot and assembly/maintenance technician skill levels, providing robust support for UAV‑related instruction, examination preparation, and industry–education integration.
